| 7305 days ago my life changed forever--that's when my daughter Julie was born! In rounder numbers, that was exactly 20 years ago! Wow! Those have been 7305 of the most entertaining of my own 21, 026 days--but hey, who's counting? Love ya, kid!! | |

When, late in 1968, the folks at Marvel discovered
that their Sorcerer Supreme's sales weren't
up to snuff, they figured there had to be
only one reason for the Mystic Master's paucity
of fans--that moustache! So, on the cover of DR.STRANGE #177, they had Gene Colan and Tom Palmer cover up the offending lip caterpillar once and for all, and just sat back, waiting for all those dimes and pennies to come rolling in! Well, it didn't quite work out that way, but it sure did make for a spiffy cover--which you can see by clicking the image over to the side, as well as offering up an even closer gander at my version! Hey, let's just be glad they never asked Odin to shave! |

The cover of 1964's TALES OF SUSPENSE #59--memorably
illustrated by Jack Kirby and Dick Ayers--has
the incumbent, Iron Man, welcoming his fellow
Avenger, Captain America, into the book as
his freshly minted co-star. Tony took it
all in stride on the original, but on MY
version, well, let's just say giving up pages
to a star-spangled latecomer didn't make
