|I'm one of those people whose life was changed
indelibly on the evening of February 9th,
1964, happily contracting a life-long delirium,
one known forever after to trained physicians
and layman alike as "Beatlemania".
Since launching this site just over a year
ago, various material dealing with the band
has found its way into several different
sections of Hembeck.com. With the 40th anniversary
of the Lads' "Ed Sullivan Show"
appearance looming, I decided to throw all
caution to the wind, and post something about
the Fabs everyday for the entire month (most
of which wound up in my "Fred Sez"
blog for February 2004). This proved to be
such an enjoyable experience for me--and
hopefully, for some of you out there as well--that
I've decided to set aside an entire page
specifically to round up all the stray Beatle-related
material at the site, with the duel purpose
of utilizing it as a home for completely
fresh entries as well! Now, please don't
expect any biographies, discographies, or
exhibitions of photography--you can find
those angles expertly covered elsewhere.
No, what I promise to share with you are
as many of the musings, memories, and minutia
that I've amassed over the last four decades--delivered
with a light touch, a critical eye, and a
deep-seated affection--that I possibly can.
So, enjoy yourself, friends, and feel free
to come back anytime, anytime at all!...
